Chiang Mai, Thailand : November 22-26, 2025 - 5 Days of Learning

The moment you step foot in Thailand, the heartbeat of this land will resonate deeply within your soul. From the misty mountains and multi-colored hill tribe villages, its’ colors and scents of Thai culture, every corner of Chiang Mai whispers tales of a rich history and enduring spirit.

Immerse yourself in an authentic cultural journey, guided by the wisdom and voices of Thailand’s indigenous communities. Chiang Mai is a place where the past and present blend seamlessly.

Join our Thai Teacher of Culture, Dr. Jariyaporn Uttayaya, and Thought Leader + Founder, Taina Benitez, in Thailand for an incredible cultural experience learning Dr. Uttayaya’s people, who are descendants of the Lanna people and will share the untold stories of her ancestors, illuminating the rich tapestry of Northern Thailand's history. Through her eyes, you’ll learn about the ancient traditions, spiritual practices, and the profound connection the Lanna people have with their land.

Joining a Teach With Love International Education Program is not just an educational experience but a journey of the heart, filled with stories, laughter, and a deep sense of connection.

Our entire approach for the program will incorporate Teach With Love's L.O.V.E. Framework and culturally informed principles, with guidance from our Thought Leaders. Our philosophy is centered around seeking knowledge through ongoing, hopeful inquiry with the world and each other, as proposed by Paulo Freire, the author of "Pedagogy of the Oppressed." Throughout the program, we aim to immerse ourselves in every experience, expand our cultural understanding, forge meaningful connections, and return home with a renewed commitment to using L.O.V.E. as the foundation for culturally informed teaching.

  • Invited visit to a local Thai family home of Dr. Uttayaya

  • Visit a tribal village of indigenous Thai and learn about their deep connection to the natural environment and the true realities they face. We will learn about the Thai Education System, but not visit schools, as Culture and Cultural knowledge is our focus on this program, not formal research and not for ‘the gram’.

  • Walks, Temple visits, Market shops and Meals with our Indigenous friends

  • Sleep in a beautiful small Thai-owned boutique hotel which is a perfect size for our small group of 10 educators!
